Does paint protection film protect against dents? While paint protection film (also known as PPF or clear bra) can protect against small door dings and dents from rocks being kicked up, it is not invincible against larger objects. It does however leave much less of a chance of cracking the paint underneath, potentially making the dent cheaper to fix using paintless dent repair.

How long does paint protection film last? PPF of todays standards is warrantied for 10 years and can last longer depending on how well it is taken care of and maintained. Suntek's Ultra PPF line warranties against yellowing, bubbling and cracking for 10 years.

Does paint protection film come in colors? Yes! PPF not only comes in gloss and matte, but also has a large variety of colors. Colored PPF is more expensive but it protects much better than traditional colored vinyl wraps and lasts 10+ years. Can matte paint protection film go over gloss paint? Yes it can! Do you like the matte look but don't want to deal with the hassle of taking care of matte paint? Well matte PPF can be applied over gloss paint to transform it to matte. Do ceramic coatings protect against scratches? While ceramic coatings do form a thin hard layer over your factory paint, it does not protect against scratches like paint protection film would. It can protect against light swirls but it's main benefits are protection from UV rays and chemicals, as well as making the surface extremely hydrophobic for ease of cleaning.

How long does window tint last? All our window tint options have a limited lifetime warranty. This warranty covers change in color, peeling, cracking, adhesive failure and delamination for life.

What is the legal limit for window tint in Minnesota? The percent of visible light allowed through your car windows is called VLT: Visible Light Transmission. Tint darkness for sedans: Windshield: No tint is allowed on the windshield. Front Side windows: Must allow more than 50% of light in. Back Side windows: Must allow more than 50% of light in. Rear Window: Must allow more than 50% of light in. Tint darkness for SUVs, Trucks and Vans: Windshield: No tint is allowed on the windshield. Front Side windows: Must allow more than 50% of light in. Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used. Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.

How much is a full color change vinyl wrap? Lots of factors go into a vinyl wrap - paint condition, amount of disassembly needed, vinyl quality, etc. Sedans and Coupes start at $3,000 SUVs and Trucks start at $4,000 These prices include minimal disassembly and a lower quality cast film. Premium film like 3M vinly will add to cost. These prices do not include wrapping inside door jambs.

How long do vinyl wraps last? There are many different brands and types of vinyl wraps. Cast films like 3M and Avery Dennison are some of the top brands that last the longest. 3M can last up to 7 years and Avery Dennison can last up to 4 years. Cheaper calendared films by brands like TinyBot, Inozetek, and Teckwrap are harder to install and only last 1-2 years typically. The do however have a great looking finish and are a good option if you plan to change colors often.
